About the Project

In the Philippines, many ancestral houses have been abandoned, neglected and even demolished. While some heritage sites have been converted to warehouses or high-rise buildings for modernization and development.

Pamana ng Pila is an advocacy multimedia project that seeks to raise heritage awareness through the town of Pila, Laguna and aid in the preservation and protection of the heritage houses as well. Through these heritage houses and other heritage sites, we learn the importance of cultural heritage today and the need to preserve our culture for our national identity.
